Klamath Outdoor Science School
Klamath Outdoor Science School (KOSS) is a nonprofit organization with the mission of inspiring a deep appreciation for natural resources, community, and the arts through hands-on outdoor education. KOSS has a permanent camp facility for resident outdoor school and summer camps located about 45 miles north of Klamath Falls in the Sun Pass State Forest, which is managed by the Oregon Department of Forestry. KOSS also offers programs at other sites in the Klamath Basin and can accommodate a limited number of programs in the Rogue Valley. Through hands-on investigations, nature journaling, games, and team building activities, KOSS staff teach students about topics including forest ecology, forest management, wetlands and aquatic ecology, geology, and more.
