Find Your Path: Stewardship Forester
In this two-minute video, John Krause of the Oregon Department of Forestry shows us what it takes to be a stewardship forester. A typical day starts in the office, followed by a trip into the woods. He visits active logging operations and inspects others that are in the planning stages. Good communication and organizational skills are important as he meets loggers and landowners before a timber harvest to ensure everyone has a full understanding of how to comply with state laws. Technology also plays a very important role in his work. This video is part of a series of fifteen videos and the "Find Your Path" publication.
